In February 2024 the Off the Menu Research Group was delighted to host Maya Hey, a fermentation expert based at the University of Helsinki, as its first visiting researcher.

On 13 October 2023 Penelope Volinia hosted the Foraging and Narrative Workshop with Spontaneus Lab as part of the 2023–24 Season “Neither on Land nor at Sea. Meeting by the Mediterranean Im/Possible” for UNIDEE Residency in Biella, Italy.

From September to December 2023, Philine taught her course “You Are What You Eat: The Intersections of Food, Culture and Identity” at Mannheim University in International Cultural Studies.
