Workshop description:

“The sea in Ferrara is getting closer. The wetness can be felt on a bicycle, pedalling through a fog bank that blurs the view like when you strain to see underwater. 45 minutes by car, a little more by train and a few hours by bike to reach the saltwater basin closest to the Este’s city. But Ferrara is a city of land. What happens when we create imagery of marine species that come from distant geographies? How do we imagine what they look like? And their taste? Their textures? We will immerse ourselves together in marine imagery exercises to explore, without the need for oxygen tanks, ecosystems far removed from our everyday lives. Curiosity, a little imagination, and a spirit of exploration are needed to plunge into aquatic meanderings.”
